Fall at Deanna Rose

One thing I love about the Midwest is the fall season. The colors here are so vivid and bright- red, yellow, and orange. One day the trees are green, then the following week they are on fire with reds and oranges. Simply put, it's beautiful. The sound of the wind on the leaves and the fresh smell of fall. The first cool front where we open the windows and let the fresh cool breeze in. The crackle of dried leaves underfoot. Fall is my favorite season and I love it! After the first cool front, the girls and I headed out to Deanna Rose Park to take in the season. To breathe it fully and play in the sun!

This silly goat scared the bejesus out of Katelyn. She had a handful of goat food and her back towards the fence. This goat started nibbling on her hair. She turned quickly to see if perhaps Jillian was pulling her hair and came face to face with this goat. She quickly dropped the goat food, screamed, and ran towards me. I couldn't help but laugh.

Busy Busy Busy

Yes indeed it has been a while since I last blogged about the girls. This fall has been crazy with activities. Mainly painting. Yes, there is a fat lady somewhere singing. The girls know what Home Depot is. They know that mommy goes there to buy paint and they don't like it. NOT ONE BIT. When we pull into the parking lot, Kate starts screaming, "NO MOMMY, NO PAINT, NO PAINT!" It was funny the first time. Not so much now. :)

When we purchased our home in September 2007 I brought in all sorts of paint samples and swatches. I was determined to get it all painted before we moved in October 2007. Well, with twin 3 month olds, that NEVER happened. So this summer and fall I tackled painting the whole main floor. It has been fun. Well, not so much fun, but I love looking around and seeing that we are finally home. It's a nice cozy lovely home too.
