Austin Trip

After a quick night in Dallas the girls and I headed to Austin.  Spencer's 5th birthday was Friday and we were going to celebrate with dinner at Chuck E Cheese.  The girls thoroughly enjoyed their first bites of pizza, but detested Sprite.  On Saturday, we headed to a Moon Bounce Play Place for Spencer's birthday party.  Neither of the girls liked the moon bounces, but enjoyed running around.  We spent the rest of the afternoon shopping for a homecoming dress for Camden's first high school formal!  On Sunday, I redeemed my cooking abilities by preparing a big feast of chicken and dumplings for the whole family.  Philip was a little skeptical since he was the one that got sick from my tuna casserole years ago.  Everyone enjoyed the lunch and I might be promoted from 'fruit salad' to 'green beans' at the next holiday gathering.  :)  We spent the rest of the afternoon taking pictures of all the kids and relaxing.  Suzanne and I met a friend of hers on Monday for lunch.  We then proceeded to stalk Avery at the pool so I could catch a glimpse of her boyfriend.  We got busted when Avery spotted us in the parking lot and waved.  Good times.  We had such a wonderful time, but alas, our trip had come to an end and Jason was desperate to have us girls back in Kansas.  He misses his ladies!  So we packed up and headed back to Dallas to spend another night with Aunt Shelly before making the long haul back to Kansas.

I already miss sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine gossiping with my sisters Glenda and Suzanne.  :(  Here are some pictures from our weekend in Austin.
