Gymboree Playtime Fun!

Today the girls started their first Gymboree play class.  They really enjoyed running around and playing.  It is official that their "stranger danger" is OVER.  O-V-E-R!  We walked into the classroom where several other mothers were sitting on the floor and playing with their kids.  Kate walks up to another mom and climbs into her lap.  Whammo - no "Hello, my name is Kate.  May I sit here?"  The other mom was shocked but very sweet and called Kate her new best friend.  A few minutes later, she goes to another mom's lap.  In fact, I think she sat in everyone's lap except for mine, her OWN mother's!  Nice huh?!  I don't know wether I should be offended or glad for a little break.  She dazzled everyone with her sweetness and even gave the teacher a big hug around her legs.

Jill was VERY outgoing.  She could not wait to climb on all the toys and play.  She ran around to different toy stations like her diaper was on fire.  She had a wonderful time!  I don't think I have ever seen her that outgoing and fearless.  She really shined when put in a group situation.  She also has outgrown her "stranger danger".  She was all smiles to the other children and parents.  She even wowed the teacher with her mad walking skills and playing skills.  In fact, we are going to move them up a couple of classes to a more advanced playtime.

Right in the middle of playtime we got quite the show through the windows outside.  Apparently the building right next to gymboree was on fire.   Yes, you read that right...on FIRE.  Luckily the building was empty and undergoing renovations.  The fire department quickly put the roof fire out and we were on our way home.  Here are some playtime pictures!

Kate is sitting as far away from me as possible, hanging out with the other moms.

All bundled up and ready to leave!
